My Prized Possession

To most, this is just a piece of junk. Anyone looking through my utensil drawer would think I should have tossed it long ago.  Afterall, it's no longer functional. It just takes up space!  In my eyes it is beautiful. All of its imperfections are part of its story. Part of MY story. In 1984 I was moving into my very first apartment.  I was about to have my own kitchen.  I had nothing to put in it of course except for a set of dishes I purchased at a yard sale and some glasses Id collected from work lol. My mother took me to the store and bought me a set of pots & pans.  She also reached into her own utensil drawer and took out this very spatula.  It was one of her older ones.  Its handle already had several battle wounds from being against the side of a skillet a little too long as she used it to prepare meals for my dad and me. Over the years I have used it to prepare meals for my own family.  My children used it as they learned to cook.   I

A creepy Jack-In-The-Box and A New Pair of Shoes. What More Could A Girl Want?

Good morning everyone!
Its 3:40am Alaska time and +9 degrees.
I'm halfway through my first latte and am currently looking for the next marathon.
Any suggestions?

 Did ya miss me yesterday??
I woke up and started working up promos and next thing ya know, my day was gone lol. Oh, I did a couple loads of laundry, dishes, cooked dinner & all that mundane stuff in between, but still, it flew by. Next thing ya know, its evening. I'm a morning blogger, for the most part. So I just didn't do it lol.

The last couple of days I've been marathoning a miniseries I found on Amazon Prime called Mad Dogs. It's like a dark comedy/thriller/action kinda thing all rolled up into one burrito.
Its got action. Its got comedy, its got a teeny tiny bit of romance.
Not something Id let the kids watch. There were a couple of times people got shot in the head close range, just an FYI.

The Synopsis:
When a group of underachieving 40-something friends gather in Belize to celebrate the early retirement of an old friend, a series of wild events unfold, exposing dark secrets, deception, and even murder.

Its only 10 episodes, but they wrapped it up nicely.
I REALLY hate when they do this big huge WTF just happened cliffhanger at the end of a season and then cancel it! It's the main reason I stopped watching TV until we could stream it all lmao.

Ok, time for a visit to the coffee altar. But before I go, I wanted to share a recent promo I did via Sympatico Studio featuring Nellie Heels by  Arryn,  Anagord, and Onnel.

There is also a super cute InStyle add-on set by -Valkyrie-
You should check them out, then enjoy the show!

Good morning everyone! Its 5:17am Alaska time and the holding at+23 degrees. The wind was howling all day yesterday. It finally seems to have calmed. I was waiting with baited breath for the power to die lol. Hence the reason for not being here yesterday. I eeked out one promo and shut it down for the day. I found a show on YouTube Red called Escape The Night yesterday . Have you seen it? It's like one of those murder mystery getaway thingies. They have to solve various types of puzzles to find the next clue. Synopsys: In this surreality competition series, 10 guests are invited from the modern world to attend a dinner at the host's newly acquired mansion estate, which has been locked in the 1920's. This is a dinner party to die for. No one is safe. Ok, I'm ready for Latte #2. Before I go, I want to share an artistic promo I did via Sympatico Studio featuring  The lovely Take Ten Jumper by Nirvy. It's a Dforce garment and is perfect for a relaxing nigh

Precious Moments Stolen

Almost a month to the day of my mothers' passing I had a dream. It wasn't the first time she had come to me in a dream, but to this point, I was the last. I was standing in the circle part of her driveway. There was a chill in the air. The grass was brown and there were no leaves on the trees. I was standing there...waiting. I was waiting for her to get there. The driver showed up, took her into the house and pulled away. rather than her wheelchair, he put her on the sofa where she used to sit and watch tv. He left the front door wide open. I could see her sitting in there by herself. She looked out at me and smiled. I said to myself, I'm going in until someone tells me I have to leave. She was alone. I curled up next to her on the couch, just like I did when I was little. She put her arm around me and held me like that for the longest time. It felt so good to curl up next to her like that again after all these years. After a while, she yawned. She looked do
