My Prized Possession

To most, this is just a piece of junk. Anyone looking through my utensil drawer would think I should have tossed it long ago.  Afterall, it's no longer functional. It just takes up space!  In my eyes it is beautiful. All of its imperfections are part of its story. Part of MY story. In 1984 I was moving into my very first apartment.  I was about to have my own kitchen.  I had nothing to put in it of course except for a set of dishes I purchased at a yard sale and some glasses Id collected from work lol. My mother took me to the store and bought me a set of pots & pans.  She also reached into her own utensil drawer and took out this very spatula.  It was one of her older ones.  Its handle already had several battle wounds from being against the side of a skillet a little too long as she used it to prepare meals for my dad and me. Over the years I have used it to prepare meals for my own family.  My children used it as they learned to cook.   I

Good Morning followers and art aficionados,
Its 2:30am  Alaska time and 2 degrees.
We got some major powder yesterday. It's super fine stuff.
The dogs kept coming in looking like they had been dusted with flour lol.

My daughter came over yesterday and we made beef stew.
It was the perfect weather for it. By the time it was done, there was a whole pot full. Plenty for her to take a good amount home as well lol. If she comes today, I think the plan is peanut butter cookies :D

So I recently purchased a copy of
The Grand Budapest Hotel on VUDU.
If you haven't seen it yet, you are in for a treat! Its got 92% on the Rotten Tomatoes meter.

The Synopsys-
In the 1930s, the Grand Budapest Hotel is a popular European ski resort, presided over by concierge Gustave H. (Ralph Fiennes). Zero, a junior lobby boy, becomes Gustave's friend and protege. Gustave prides himself on providing first-class service to the hotel's guests, including satisfying the sexual needs of the many elderly women who stay there. When one of Gustave's lovers dies mysteriously, Gustave finds himself the recipient of a priceless painting and the chief suspect in her murder.

It's quirky. It's funny. Its filled with action and intrigue.
Oh yea, its rated R, so put the kiddos to bed first, please.

OMG, I need more coffee.
Before I sign off, I want to share a recent promo I did featuring the new character By Crender!
Her name is Bloom. Isn't she lovely?! This version has Genisis 8 applied. If you use Victoria 8 instead, she has more of a caricature kinda look. You will see what I mean when you have her in your runtime. Either way, she is adorable.

Aside from all the basic makeup & nail options,
she also comes with a lovely back/side tattoo that you can use or not, depending on your fancy. Options are awesome! lol
Time to render!
Enjoy the flick :D

YouTube Red, Take Ten and Gwen

Good morning everyone! Its 5:17am Alaska time and the holding at+23 degrees. The wind was howling all day yesterday. It finally seems to have calmed. I was waiting with baited breath for the power to die lol. Hence the reason for not being here yesterday. I eeked out one promo and shut it down for the day. I found a show on YouTube Red called Escape The Night yesterday . Have you seen it? It's like one of those murder mystery getaway thingies. They have to solve various types of puzzles to find the next clue. Synopsys: In this surreality competition series, 10 guests are invited from the modern world to attend a dinner at the host's newly acquired mansion estate, which has been locked in the 1920's. This is a dinner party to die for. No one is safe. Ok, I'm ready for Latte #2. Before I go, I want to share an artistic promo I did via Sympatico Studio featuring  The lovely Take Ten Jumper by Nirvy. It's a Dforce garment and is perfect for a relaxing nigh
Hey peeps, let's talk about promos, and what makes a good one! Well, it really depends on what the product is. For example, if you wanted to promo a town or forest. You want to show as much of it as you can without it being obvious. Perfect example by Anita. The figure is just a part of the scene. It doesn't dominate it. It's clear that what we are selling here is the environment, not model. What about this one? It's a cool piece, but what am I selling here? Am I selling the architecture, the ship behind her, or the girl up front? WTF knows? I didn't utilize my camera properly! The model should be off to the side, and my focal point should have been on that ship back there. And this one!   There is entirely too much going on here. Your eyes go all over the place when they SHOULD be focused on that model. I know.  We have lots of toys we want to play with But when it comes to promos, LESS IS MORE! Here
